"Your visit is a good example of South to South Cooperation", Tusabe to Benin Delegation

RRA is hosting high level tax officials from Benin for 2 days who are on a study tour at the Authority to look at recent infrastructural and policy tax reforms with a possibility of replicating them back home.
Receiving the delegation, the Commissioner General RRA Mr. Tusabe Richard expressed the readiness by RRA to offer the most available support to Benin and pick lessons from the visiting officials.
He referred the to this visit as a reciprocal ground for both Rwanda and Benin to share new ideas and leverage the fond relations between the two countries.
Mr. Tusabe praised the warm relations between Benin and Rwanda, and emphasized the role of tax administrations in mobilizing resources for finance activities that enhance the wellbeing of citizens.
Mr. Gilles Guerard, the Director General in Charge of Taxes and Customs who is heading the delegation said they chose to come to Rwanda because of the country’s milestones in tax administration.
“This is a good example of South to South Cooperation. Chances are that the environment in Benin is similar to that of Rwanda. We are ready to share views on vendor management, development partner management among others.” Mr. Tusabe noted.
Of late RRA is receiving a number of delegations coming to benchmark best practices at the 20-year-old institution thanks to its efforts to continuously upgrade tax processes so as to increase tax revenue and facilitate trade.
