RRA opens two other offices for NFR
The Rwanda Revenue Authority has opened two new offices in Kigali to facilitate easily the general public and other taxpayers who wish to pay non fiscal revenues to the government.
The Authority has been administering the payment of non fiscal revenues at one office in Kigali at its former headquarters in the city center.
The new office has been established to concede with the existing one which has of late been over crowding with people paying non fiscal revenues.
The new offices, one located at at Remera, inside Amahoro stadium and another one in Nyabugogo city suburb are open eight hours a day, five days a week.
These new offices shall not only receive payments from people wanting to renew their driving permits but rather also other payments that are non fiscal in nature.
Some of these payments that will be received at these RRA new offices include Immigration fees like visa fees, acquisition of passports and other travel documents, road traffic fines and penalties (contraventions), court fines and Attestation of non criminal record, renewal and acquisition of driving license and so many others.
RRA established these new offices in order to facilitate taxpayers by reducing on long queues that have been observed at the old office in town and concequently eliminating the long queues and other associated inconveniences during payment.

The RRA has put in place a number of facilitations for taxpayers including extending from 9 to 16 working hours a day at Gatuna border post;
working on a Saturday that fall on the 15th of every month to receive end of previous months VAT and PAYE declarations, the blue channel system that enables compliant taxpayers to avoid a number of customs clearance procedures during declarations;
the prepayment system that enables declaration and payment of goods at customs offices before goods arrive, quick and faster issuance of tax clearance certificates and motor vehicle tax stickers and others.
The RRA management reveals that they will continue ascertaining new and better ways and initiatives of facilitating and promoting trade and business in the country.
RRA management has also established a number of communication channels for the general public and taxpayers in general to provide their views, ideas and opinions on how RRA can facilitate and serve them much better.
Some of these channels RRA has established include an interactive RRA Website, a toll free line (3004), a taxpayers’ feed back form, Service survey questionnaires, RRA suggestion boxes, taxpayers’ view phones at the RRA ground flow;
taxpayer email accounts;largetaxpayers@rra.gov.rw and meduimtaxpayers@rra.gov.rw and an office always open to receive taxpayers’ queries, inquiries, suggestions and opinions (Taxpayer Services Department).
