RRAVC in a group with the host of African women’s volleyball championship

The 2018 African women’s volleyball championship will kick off today 6th March in Cairo, Egypt with 19 clubs from all over Africa. The opening match will be between Ahly, the host club of Egypt and Nkumba from Uganda, at 6:00 pm. The draw placed the 19 in four groups, the RRAVC team representing Rwanda in the competition being with the host Ahly in group A. After the drawing, head coach of RRAVC, Ms. Dorcas Ndasaba, said: “The group is tough but what I know we are going to do our best so that we can make it to the quarter finals.” Ndasaba added that the players were eager to know the team against which they will play, believing that they are going to do what is in their best level of capacity. “You need to play as a wounded lion at every match to win,” Ndasaba underlined. The head of delegation, Mr. Jean Pierre Ngendahimana said that the team is well catered for, calling the players to observe instructions given by the coach and fight for victories in all matches, having discipline in the game.
