Any registered taxpayer in Rwanda can apply for a TCC. This includes individuals, businesses, and organizations that have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and are compliant with RR A regulations.

The primary purpose of a TCC is to provide proof that a taxpayer has fulfilled all their tax obligations. This document is often re quired for various administrative processes, such as applying for government tenders, renewing business licenses, and securing certain types of financing.

The Tax Clearance Certificate is issued online and it ta kes not more than 15 minutes to get this done. Once the taxpayer chec ks all arrears and pays a fee of five thousand Rwandan Francs (5.000Frw ), the certificate is automatically generated and can be obtained online at any given time. The TCC is valid for three months from the date of issue.
