Apply for VAT de-activation

When you don't meet the required conditions to pay to be eligible for VAT payment (when your turnover is not more than 20 million Rwandan francs for 12 consecutives months/ 5 million Rwandan Francs for 3 consecutive months), you TIN de-activation. 

VAT de-activation as well as other tax accounts de-activation has been fully automated and it is done online. When you apply for this service, you immediately receive RRA answer.

Before applying for TIN de-activation:

  • Your tax account should be clean (no tax arrear )
  • Demonstrate clear reasons supporting your request
  • Submit your request online through E-tax.
